Welcome

Hi this is Emma! I produce performances and events. I love making scrappy, funny, and inventive plays in theaters and other places in New York City. I am interested in the balance between fun and rigor, and I value thoughtful and generous collaboration.

I mostly work with playwrights and directors; I view producing, writing, and directing as three legs that support a production. My work is creative and generative and I’m an equal partner in crafting our specific piece — which is why I prefer below-the-title billing with the playwright and director.

My full-time job is Programs Manager at Clubbed Thumb; I’ve also worked administratively at HERE and The Tank, where I was the 2022-23 Producing Fellow.

I often make work with a collective I co-founded called TROVE, and the company Needy Lover.

My non-theater interests include: listening to music, jogging, and cooking for my friends.
